It all begins with an idea.

The PT Buddy idea came simply from our founder, Luke, a personal trainer, trying to find a way to sign up new clients.

After several years being a trainer, finding new ways to help clients get their results and finding new clients were constant challenges. Sales training was not generally offered to PT’s, so Luke’s focused changed to sales training and getting peoples attention.

From listening to what clients were saying, it was clear that most personal trainers were not offering any injury rehab in the gym, which was in-fact the first stepping-stone to help clients reach their goals.

This led to the idea of a free Posture Assessment, to get to the bottom of their aches and pains and on track to reaching their goals effectively. A tactic that worked, to show clients we were interested in their needs and goals and we were prepared to take the time to understand them.

The next step was how to record the findings, after becoming popular with clients, simply entering findings into a word document became time consuming, so the next step was to look for an app. There was nothing on the market that worked. The idea of the PT Buddy App was born.

It was a lead system, where people could be filtered into a free assessment. The assessment part of the app would be used to find the answers to clients’ questions and used as a sales tool to sell packages.

There was then the development of client workouts in the same app, the ability to add these simply and quickly was imperative. Time that could be saved on admin and building exercise plans, would be more time with clients. Both trainer and clients would know the exercises and workouts needed to target their injuries and achieve their goals. A streamline, time efficient process!

It was a completely new way of working as a PT and it was effective, the next stage naturally was to offer it to other Personal Trainers and Gyms.
