We took our process into several test gyms over an eight-week period to get feedback from the gym managers, their trainers and their members to discover what they needed most, and if the PT Buddy process improved their issues.

How To Get Started

Members typically come to the gym with one or several goals that they WANT. That is based on them having sufficient control of their body.

They also almost always have an injury that is limiting their progress.

Our system focuses foremost on your members getting the absolute best service they can from your facility. To aid what you’re doing currently, you can start from one of two points, depending on your preferences. Meaning, you can still use our service even if you don’t have any additional trainers working in your facility.

We train your trainers to offer additional services to your members, using the assessment part of the PT Buddy app.

Start Point 1

1. We train your trainers in our posture assessment and control phase courses.

2. We sign yourself and all trainers up to our posture assessment builder app.

3. We provide the promotional material for members to book in and social media posts to promote the assessment and new training plan.

4. The trainer conducts the assessment while following the prompt on our app. The trainer the uses the information to sell packages of sessions.

5. The new client is given programs in the control phase - Their NEED program

6. We then support your trainers over the next 12-months to aid them in their learning while offering complementary additional courses.

Start Point 2

7. All members are signed up to the PT Buddy app to be given a gym structure to reach their goals, what the clients WANTS.

8. Three-way communication and support between the club, members and PT Buddy. The gym is able to communicate with all members, updating them on the latest club news and offerings, while offering feedback options to the members for the gyms service and our own.

*Can be used for your PTs as a lead magnet to sell more sessions to members, or as a fantastic member retention tool by your internal trainers.

Have an app already? Don’t have any trainers at your gym? No Problem

If you DO have trainers, you can start at stage 1 or 2 below.

Happier more engaged trainers offer a better service to members, which keeps members happier and more engaged with your gym, increasing member retention rates and the gyms revenue. We do this by training them in our two main courses to either be used solely as an invaluable+ member retention service for your internal trainers, or as a lead magnet and expert service to be offered by your personal trainers.

Member retention can be increased 80-90% when they use a PT, increasing the stay of a member at a gym to 22 months on average compared to 8 months (Source IHRSA, ACSM)

This leads to more gym visits from the member, correlating to higher satisfaction and retention. Increasing the connection to the gym, all from using a personal trainer.

A Member’s Journey

1. sign up to a free posture assessment.

2. given details of their bodies NEEDS and what to work on from the assessment.

3. either given exercises from an in-house trainer or they sign up to work with a PT.

4. they are signed up to the PT Buddy app to receive their detailed training structure and communicate with the gym and their trainer.

5. they are firstly given exercises from the control phase course designed to teach them to control the muscles that have been identified as weak or tight from the assessment.

6. once they have built sufficient control of their body, strength training is slowly added in to focus on what the member WANTS.
