Our story:

Looking back now on our journey so far, the PT Buddy idea came simply from me trying to find a way to sign up new clients, it’s been an incredible journey which which I am immensely proud of and I’m very exited to share..

I’ve always been an invested trainer, spending time and money on courses to help me help clients get the best results they can. This was all fine, but finding new clients, wow, they don’t really teach you this when you train to become a PT.

So, I changed tactics and began spending time learning everything sales. I learned to get peoples attention, I needed a hook. Something that would tweak my audiences ears, with something that offered no strings attached to avoid any trust issues (a big barrier to overcome in sales). 

Realising people not only have goals to look good and get fit, but most would have an injury that was more important to fix first, and how many trainers offer injury rehab in a gym compared to fat loss? Not many at all is your answer. So, the offering was simple, a free posture assessment to get to the bottom of their aches and pains.

If you can offer something that resonates with their pain, that can avoid their trust barriers, then you’re onto a real winner.

I took what I had to offer to a new gym, where they allowed me to advertise my free posture assessments to their members, and allowed me to train the membership sales staff in what I did and why it was important. Then, it went crazy. It worked too well. I couldn’t keep up. You see, I’d send them a report of what we found using pictures we took of them, but do it using a word document. But it worked, that was the important part. What I needed was a way I could do these reports in a fraction of the time, that looked more professional too. 

After searching on the App Store for days for something I could use without success, there was only one thing left to do...... have my own app built.

In 2017 it was ready, and was to put it simply, a work of art. Now I have my lead system filtering through numerous members who needing help through a assessment, they were blown away by my app that my conversion rate ramped up. Since 2017, approximately 3 in every 4 assessments would see someone sign up to be a client of mine. It’s been a game changer.

But, this is not where the story ends, as I was still using Word documents to write clients workouts, again a massive amount of time taken away. But all the other apps I found took too long to build and some softwares needed to be done on a laptop. I needed something quicker, which I could not find. So.....

I had this built into the same app. Now, I had my lead system working regularly every month to filter people into a free assessment. I’d use the assessment part of the app to find the answers they were looking for, and use it as a sales tool to sell packages. Then, when they signed up, I could easily build their workouts in minutes in the same app. Finally a streamline, time efficient process! This whole process has been a game changer for me and my business. Now, I want to offer it to you too.
